History of the Elevator

Turkey’s first elevator

The first elevator system in Turkey’s history was built at the Pera Palace Hotel in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul. The Pera Palace hotel was built in 1892 by the French architect Alexander Vallaury. This elevator was put into operation in 1895 and took place in the elevator history pages.
